All The Strongest Battlegrounds Characters & Movesets (2026)

Twelve characters, twelve genuinely different ways to fight. This page describes what each kit does and who should play it — for S/A/B rankings see the tier list, and for free-only recommendations see free characters ranked.

Character names are TSB’s renamed versions of One Punch Man heroes (it’s a fan game). We note the inspiration in parentheses. Move properties change with patches — descriptions stay at the mechanics level on purpose, and we re-check after each update.

Free Characters

The Strongest Hero (Saitama)

The kit that defines the meta. Fast basic attacks, straightforward abilities, and Death Counter — a counter so strong that entire fights revolve around baiting it out. The ultimate, Serious Mode, turns any landed ability into a kill threat. Simple to learn, never stops being dangerous.

Hero Hunter (Garou)

The combo character. His signature flowing-strike tools chain into the longest punish routes in the game, and his counter-heavy style rewards reading opponents. The hardest free kit to master and the most rewarding.

Destructive Cyborg (Genos)

The damage dealer. Beam and blast tools hit harder than anything else on the free roster, at the cost of committal start-ups that good players block on reaction. Play him if you want big numbers and don’t mind earning the openings.

Deadly Ninja (Sonic)

The all-rounder. Quick strikes, short cooldowns, and the best evasion tools in the game. Nothing in the kit is the single best at anything — everything is good, which is exactly why competitive players rate him so highly.

Blade Master (Atomic Samurai)

The reach specialist. Sword-range basic attacks let him pressure from outside normal M1 range, and his ult provides instant kill-threat pressure. Weaker escape options than the kits above.

Wild Psychic (Tatsumaki)

The zoner. Telekinetic grabs and multi-target throws keep opponents out; the kit is about denying approach rather than out-brawling. Excellent until someone corners her.

Brutal Demon

The bruiser. Direct, aggressive tools with real kill routes — just slower recovery than the meta kits, which means every miss costs more.

Martial Artist (Suiryu)

The counter-puncher. Solid basics plus style-heavy counters that want game knowledge to use well. A veteran’s pick more than a starter.

Gamepass, Limited & Exclusive

Tech Prodigy (Child Emperor) — gamepass

Rated the strongest kit in the game by most rankings: gadget-based tools with damage, control and safety in one package. It’s also the only character that costs money — TSB’s balance is otherwise fully free-to-play.

Frozen Soul — limited

Control-oriented kit built around freezing tools. Rotates in and out of availability with events.

KJ — limited

Aggressive rush-down kit from an event rotation. Availability varies by update.

Crab Boss — exclusive

A niche exclusive played more for fun than the meta.

Start from the free characters ranking — then take your pick into the beginner combo structure and drill it until it’s automatic.
