Everyone in The Strongest Battlegrounds practices combos. Almost nobody practices defense — which is why defense wins fights. This guide covers the three layers of not getting hit.

Layer 1: Blocking (and When It Betrays You)

Holding block absorbs basic attacks, and new players treat it as a safe place to think. It isn’t:

Layer 2: Dashing as Defense

Your dash is a better defensive tool than your block.

Layer 3: Fighting Counter Characters

The Strongest Hero’s Death Counter (and counter tools on other kits) punishes exactly the habit this game teaches: pressing your combo starter on cooldown.

Drill This

Ten minutes in a quiet server: practice tap-blocking an M1 string, side-dashing a charged hit, and punishing with your full route from the beginner guide. Do that daily for a week and you will feel the server get easier.
