The Strongest Battlegrounds Tier List (2026)

Last updated: 2026-07-30

Community-consensus rankings compiled from multiple July 2026 sources and cross-checked against the current patch. TSB is a skill game — a good player on a B-tier kit beats a bad player on S-tier — but kit strength still decides even matchups. Limited and private-server characters rotate; availability noted per entry.

S Tier

Name Role Why
The Strongest Hero (Saitama) Free Death Counter is arguably the single strongest move in the game, and Serious Mode turns any landed ability into a finisher. Fast M1s, forgiving kit.
Hero Hunter (Garou) Free The combo ceiling of TSB. Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist chains into long punish routes; counter-style ult rewards reads.
Deadly Ninja (Sonic) Free Most balanced kit in the game: strong combos, short cooldowns, best-in-class evasion. Top pick among competitive players.
Tech Prodigy (Child Emperor) Gamepass Widely rated the strongest overall kit — but it is the paid character. Skip unless you already love the game.

A Tier

Name Role Why
Destructive Cyborg (Genos) Free Highest raw damage output among free characters. Blockable startup on key moves keeps it out of S.
Blade Master (Atomic Samurai) Free Excellent damage and reach with instant-threat ult pressure; weaker disengage than the S-tier kits.
Wild Psychic (Tatsumaki) Free Best zoning kit — grabs and multi-target moves keep opponents out. Struggles when cornered.

B Tier

Name Role Why
Brutal Demon Free Honest brawler kit with real kill routes, but slower recovery and fewer escape options than the tiers above.
Martial Artist (Suiryu) Free Stylish counters and solid M1 pressure; needs harder reads to match S-tier consistency.

Limited Tier

Name Role Why
Frozen Soul Limited-time Rotates in and out of availability. Strong control tools when obtainable.
KJ Limited-time Event character with aggressive rush-down. Availability varies by update.
Crab Boss Exclusive Exclusive unlock; niche kit, played more for fun than for the meta.
